father and son team up
Bub's House of MX, sells motocross gear and parts, but the fun part was taking apart a beat up 1988 Suzuki 125 Fred bought off of e-bay. Fred and Bub drove 3 hours to pick up the motorbike in New Jersey, only to find once they started taking it apart, that most the parts needed to be replaced, so they decided to completely rebuild the 1988 Suzuki 125 from the frame out.
They spent the winter of 2004 in their heated garage bringing the motocross bike back to life. They were both excited that the carburetor that had been taken apart several times because of problems, has finally been replaced, and the motocross bike is running like a dream. Of course Fred had to take the newly refurbished motocross bike for a test drive, and he says that the bike has quick pick-up and speed, and now he needs to get his bike running that good.
Matt who is 16 years old, and at a time when son's are more interested in hanging out with their friends instead of their dad, can be found with his friends, who all happen to have motocross bikes, hanging around the garage watching Fred working on one of his several personal motorbikes that come and go at the garage. Matt (Bub) got his nickname from his mom and dad. As a baby he was a chubby 9 lbs. 5 oz. baby, and has always been Bubbie to them.
Fred, who is a very young 50 years old, decided to start this new business with his son who he hopes has learned a few things about repairing and rebuilding dirt bikes, and to learn to be a good business person, as they both share their enthusiasm of riding motocross.
